Applies to iStarfit mobile applications, device firmware/software, websites (including https://istarfit.com/) and related services provided by Shenzhen iStarfit Technology Co., Ltd. (“iStarfit”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

1) Types of Information We Collect

When you use our products and services (smartwatches, companion apps, website features), we may collect the following categories of data, depending on the features you use and the permissions you grant.

Account Information.If you create an account in our app/portal, you may provide: country/region, email address, password, date of birth, gender, height, weight; optional fields like nickname, weight goal, step goal, profile photo.
Activity & Health Information.Where supported and authorized by you: steps, distance, speed/pace, workout duration, calories, sleep duration, heart rate, blood pressure, blood oxygen, body temperature, walking time, exercise type, detailed records per workout type, badges/achievements generated from your activity.
Location Information.If you enable location-based features (e.g., outdoor workouts, route tracking, local weather, region selection), we may process GPS-based or approximate location. If you revoke permission, we will not collect GPS location.
Device & App Information.User configuration data, device model, device MAC address, serial number, firmware version, app version, mobile OS version, language, device configuration, IP address, network type, in-app identifiers, crash diagnostics.
Service Feature Information.Depending on features you choose to use:
Call/SMS/app notification reminders:we may read notification status or call state on your phone to mirror alerts to the wearable; we do not store your communications content on our servers for this purpose.
Music controls:we may read playback status (play/pause/track) to control music; we do not store track content.
Reminders/workout records:reminder settings or workout logs you submit.
Feedback & Support.If you submit feedback (e.g., via “Me > Feedback” in the app or our site forms), we collect the content of your message and optional contact details to respond and improve our services.
Logs & Diagnostics.Usage events such as account/device pairing, device restarts, network usage, system errors/crashes/upgrades. The most recent logs (e.g., last 7 days) may be stored locally on your phone for troubleshooting; older logs are auto-cleared. We do not actively collect your local logs without your action to submit them.
Visitor Mode (No Account).When using a visitor/guest mode, certain data (e.g., nickname, gender, height, weight, activity/health data) may be stored locally on your device and not uploaded to our servers.
Aggregated/De-identified Information.We may generate aggregated or anonymized statistics that no longer identify you. Such information is not personal information.

2) How We Use Your Information

We process your information to:

Provide and maintain services– enable pairing, syncing, route tracking, notifications, analytics dashboards, and after-sales/support on your device or app.
Communicate with you– send service notices (e.g., updates, security alerts), respond to your inquiries/feedback, schedule support.
Operate safely and comply with law– protect against fraud/abuse, ensure service availability, fulfill legal obligations.
Limited offline features– where designed, certain features operate locally without contacting our servers.
Improve quality– after anonymization or aggregation where feasible, analyze performance, fix errors, monitor usage trends, and optimize features.

Where required by law, we rely on a lawful basis such as performance of a contract (to provide requested features), legitimate interests (to run, secure, and improve services), consent (for optional features like GPS/health metrics/analytics cookies), or legal obligation.

3) How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We seek your explicit consent before sharing sensitive personal information where required. We may share information as follows:

At your direction.If you choose to connect with third-party platforms or devices (e.g., to share steps, heart rate, calories, routes), we will share data as you authorize. Your activity on such platforms is governed by their own policies.
Service providers (processors).For hosting, analytics, customer support, push notifications, crash diagnostics, email/SMS, payment (if applicable), and security operations—under contracts requiring them to act only on our instructions and protect your data.
Business partners.To co-provide features or offerings you request (e.g., integrations), subject to appropriate safeguards.
Legal/compliance.To comply with laws, regulations, legal process, or enforceable requests by authorities, or to protect rights, safety, or property.
Business transfers.In connection with mergers, acquisitions, or reorganization, your information may be transferred to a successor who will continue to honor this Policy or one with equal or higher protection (otherwise we will seek your consent where required).

4) Third-Party Service Providers

We may engage third parties to help deliver features. You can choose whether to enable these features; doing so may allow the third party to collect or receive your data subject to their policies. Common categories include:

Maps/Routes:providers that enable outdoor route tracking (e.g., Google Maps Platform, Apple Maps, Amap/AutoNavi). If enabled, your location may be processed to render routes. You can disable GPS to stop collection.
Weather:if your device supports weather push, your coarse/approximate location may be used to fetch local forecasts (e.g., via regional weather APIs). You can turn off weather features in the app/device settings.
Push & Notifications, Crash Analytics, App Stores:used to deliver notifications, diagnose issues, and distribute apps/updates.

Service providers may access personal data only to perform services for iStarfit and are obligated not to disclose or use it for other purposes.

5) Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, secure servers, identity verification, and logging/audit. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a security incident occurs, we will act promptly and notify you and/or regulators as required by law.

6) International Data Transfers

iStarfit may process data in multiple jurisdictions (e.g., where our hosting, support, or analytics providers operate). Where your data is transferred across borders, we implement appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable laws (e.g., standard contractual clauses, encryption, access controls). Where required, we will inform you of the relevant transfer mechanism.

7) Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described or as required by law/contract.

Account data & cloud-synced activity:retained while your account is active. Upon account deletion or a valid deletion request, we delete or anonymize data as soon as reasonably possible and no later than 90 days unless a longer period is legally required or necessary for dispute resolution, security, or compliance.
Local/visitor-mode data:remains on your device and is controlled by you.
Logs/diagnostics:retained for a limited period necessary for troubleshooting and service integrity.

8) Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you (free copy within reasonable limits).
Correct inaccurate or incomplete information (via in-app “Me > Personal Information” where available, or by contacting us).
Object/Restrict certain processing or withdraw consent (e.g., GPS, health metrics, analytics) without affecting the lawfulness of processing prior to withdrawal.
Delete personal information when we no longer have a valid reason to keep it (you can also delete your account, unpair devices, clear cloud data, or reset the device).
Portability of data you provided, in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format where technically feasible.

9) Children’s Privacy

Our products and services are mainly intended for adults. Children should not create accounts without parental/guardian consent. Where local law defines children differently, we treat anyone under 13 as a child. If we discover we collected children’s personal data without verifiable parental consent, we will endeavor to delete it promptly.

10) Updates to This Policy

We review this Policy periodically and may update it to reflect changes in practices, technologies, or legal requirements. The updated version will be indicated by a new “Last updated” date and becomes effective upon posting. If you continue to use the products or services after an update, you are deemed to have accepted the updated Policy. If you do not agree with any part of the Policy, you should stop using the products and services.
